Squint Doctors in Malta
A squint (strabismus) is a condition in which the eyes do not look in the same direction at the same time, with one eye turning inward, outward, upward, or downward, and can cause problems with depth perception and the development of a lazy eye (amblyopia). An ophthalmologist assesses the type and degree of the squint and determines whether glasses, patching, eye exercises, or surgical correction is needed, while an orthoptist provides non-surgical management and vision therapy. Early treatment in childhood produces the best outcomes for both eye alignment and binocular vision.
