Crossed Eyes Doctors in Malta
Crossed eyes (esotropia) is a form of strabismus in which one or both eyes turn inward and is the most common type of squint in children, sometimes associated with long-sightedness. An ophthalmologist will assess the degree of eye crossing and underlying refractive error, prescribing glasses to correct hyperopia and in some cases recommending surgery to re-align the eye muscles. An orthoptist provides binocular vision assessment and non-surgical management including patching and eye exercises.
